It's time!

We need your help to decide the overall layout of both our ZONE and RUSH servers. ZONE being the standard server, RUSH being a 20 slot DM server.

Please suggest/comment on ideal map rotation for both servers, as well as any plugins/mods you would like to see. Please keep the plugins/mods suggestions minimal, as we wish to keep things simplistic.

In my recent post I had stated the servers are down. But good news! They're returning sooner than anticipated.

C-Section has made a donation, Sk8ter, along with a few others and myself to change providers. At a cheaper rate we are receiving 2 20 slot servers @ 1000FPS and 100TIC. We are also using a much more up to date game engine to allow connectivity to both 47 & 48 version protocols clients, non steam clients, as well as steam clients. Plugins will also be reconsidered and revamped, to ensure stability on the new servers.

This should introduce a much greater environment to our community, as well as opening up an additional 8 slots for potential players.

A big thanks to everyone for supporting NNF. A special thanks to C-Section for managing a great deal, and the time and effort he's providing to the community.

As most are aware, the forums were taken offline a few days ago due to database errors. I wasn't available for the last few days to repair them. However, coming online today I've noticed that these errors appear to no longer exist.

I am turning the boards back online, but would appreciate any reports of potential board errors/glitches/bugs.

I also have some other unfortunate news to share. The counter strike servers have been suspended due to a failed invoice payment. I will not be able to cover the invoices for the next couple of weeks, so until then they will remain offline.

Hey guys!

For those of you who don't know yet, our community has an IRC channel.

It is currently run by a member of our community, who members know as "Pepto" (username) or Dove.

What is IRC you may ask? IRC, short for Internet Chat Relay, is a way to communicate towards others by use of messaging and channels.

There are multiple IRC servers across the world, but the most prominent one in the USA is irc.gamesurge.net, we will be using the channel #NNF

You can also simply click on the Live Chat link at the top of this page or any other page on this forum to get there.

However, the first method is much better.

Using this, you will be able to contact any admin who happens to be online. Also note that you can double click the username of any user currently online to Private Message/Whisper them.

I have finally managed to find the time to configure the RUSH server, which is now ready for some hardcore fragging. Configuration is pretty much the same as ZONE, only the maps are slightly different.

A sub forum has also been setup for RUSH, for server discussions regarding RUSH.

A personal thanks to C-Section for assisting me.

If you're wondering why your posts are not there even though you could have sworn you posted something, it's probably deleted due to:

• Off topic-ness.
• Necromancing (reviving dead topics)
• Vulgarity (you would receive a warn level for this depending on severity)
• Flaming (you would receive a warn level for this depending on severity)

More to be added when the mods think of any.

Reason:
Instead of warning offenders in every thread and doubling the number of useless posts every time someone makes a mistake, we'll just delete them. If the mods have to constantly delete your posts, you'll eventually notice your warn level rising.

Don't despair though, because it can go down too If you show good behavior of course.

Well the moderators have been doing a little bit of work here and we have some updates we just want to share, for those who have not noticed already. What better place than the updates section, no?



GLOH : -We've deleted the old Gigantic List of Alleged Hackers (GLOH), and replaced it with an improved version. This new version includes a link to the rules, so that all board members know exactly what the rules are. There is a template where certain criteria must be filled. Basically, it has much more information and is much neater.



Rules : - Wrote a new set of rules. Turned out that the forum had about three sets of different rules, so we deleted them all, used them as references and came up with this :


Also, Wahooka recently appointed three new moderators : Myself, ven and Ascension. We are being as active as possible, and so I want to tell you guys something.

Use the suggestions section more! Jeez! There's a WHOLE SECTION devoted to ideas to make this community! Take advantage of that!




Lessons: - Dove, Panda and Pawn (seem to be) currently on a plan to start Counter Strike lessons. No random noobs, but if you're an active member of our board, I strongly advise you check this out.

We are pleased to announce a new addition to our server list.

We are expanding services into the Counter Strike: Source community. We have ordered a Counter Strike: Source server, which has been setup and is operating. Throughout today, we will be making further configuration changes and readying it for the general public.

It is hosted with the same provider as our Counter Strike 1.6 server, to ensure quality and uptime.

A non steam client will become available shortly, along with the server details.
